Good to be back in the workshop with parts I have been waiting a long time for… There is work to be done!
Rough weekend but allot of fun!
Folkestone, I am coming for you…
“I love it when a plan comes together!” All repaired and packed for Saturday!! Now to cool off and play some games!!
“He’s hot! Blowing the pins in five…” Seems… Retirement didn’t stick!
First, the folding support arms
Now we have better clearance.
I also remembered that my sister likes to have seizures and throw herself from her wheelchair!
So after routing about my washing and bolt jar, and looking in my spare bits box…
and made a simple leg holster for a nerf Pistol!
Finally, to complete the look, I sawed together a elastic strap and a spare Airsoft pouch I had laying about…
And WaaLaa!! Real warrior look, complete!
So after not being able to sleep for 20 mins last night whilst thinking about my sisters wheelchair, I came down this morning and cut almost 2 inches off the foot raises as I couldn’t adjust them anymore by hand.
Now its not screen accurate but it is a whole lot safer!!
Drilled new holes and put the foot plates back together.
I fitted a simple seat belt to keep her in place!
Handles down so no one can push yea!
After giving the paint and vanish 48 hours to dry, its time to put this puppy back together.
Next came the seat and push handles
Good few days work. May throw so odd military sticks on it if I can find where I packed them!!
Then the foot rest, they are still really too low for long term but for the odd event they will be okay.
Ain’t she a buet!!
Then the wheels
This was when I realised I put the casters the wrong way round and they were too far forward, quick fix, swap them around.
Finally added the foot supports to stop your feet blocking the casters
